The Teachers

 
Jun    

 

Koson Matuwet known as Jun was born in Nakorn Si Thamarat. There he lived with his family until his father died. His mother decided to move all of her 9 children to Kang Trang the southern part of Thailand. Jun started school and was soon recognized as an all round sports person.

He started training at a local Muay Thai gym in Kang Trang. As a few years pasted by the owner of the gym in Kang Trang soon realized Jun had great potential, and told to Jun to go and train and fight in Bangkok, So at the young age of 13 Jun decided to move to Bangkok and train there. He gained a great deal of experience and had many fights.

Jun fought mostly at the popular stadiums which were Loompini and Rachanamnun. There he won many fights and Jun soon became a Champion boxer with over 200 fights.

He retired from the Muay Thai stadiums and started teaching here in Koh Samui. Jun is now the manager of Pinyo Muay Thai gym.

He has an outstanding reputation as a teacher and for quality training at International and Thai levels from beginners to fighters.

Wech

Veerachai Suvanrat known as Wech was born in Kan Trang the southern part of Thailand. He moved to Bangkok when was 18 years old. There he fought at many stadiums 2 of which were Loompini and Rachanamnun Stadium, Both top stadiums in the country. He was a successful fighter, with a record of over 100 fights he retired from the Muay.

When Wech established Thai Pinyo gym in 2003, he was the only teacher. With a lot of hard work and lots of support from the students, he soon began building an outstanding reputation as a teacher.

As the gym started building in popularity Wech was in need of more experienced staff. One of which was Mr. Koson Matuwet known as Jun. At first Jun started as a boxer, but as time went on Wech realized he needed someone to maintain and run the gym, and so Jun is now the manager of Pinyo Muay Thai.

 

 

Mano Suren  

 

Mano Suren known as Mono was born in Trang the southern part of Thailand.

Mono had around 45 fights in Trang and then moved to Bangkok when he was 17.

There he fought in Loompini Stadium and fought at Chong chet si Stadium which was televised on TV on Channel 7.

Mono has had 128 fights. He had won 85, lost 41 and 2 draws.

Mono stared working at Pinyo Muay Thai in 2003.

 

Sompong  Suwannarat  

Sompong Suwannarat known as Small Lek was born in Trang the southern part of Thailand. He moved to Bangkok when was 18 years old. There he fought at Rachanamnun Stadium. Lek had many fights in many different location some of which were Pkuket, Statoon, Hat Yai, Nakorn, Suratthani and Koh Samui,

He has a record of over 150 fights.

Lek retired at the age of 32 and moved to Samui in 2001 and started teaching at Pinyo Muay Thai.

Lek’s fight name was Singlek Leela Thai.

 

Rattana sak kwoowa tong kiew

 

Rattana sak kwoowa tong kiew known as big Lek was born in Nakorn Si Thamarat.

Lek had many fights in the southern part of Thailand. He moved to Bangkok when was 19 years old. There he fought at Rachanamnun Stadium.

He has a record of over 100 fights.

Lek retired from Boxing at the age of 27.
He moved to Samui in 2006 and started teaching at Pinyo Muay Thai.

 

Lek’s fight name was Lerd na korn.
